Acts 29 DC Area One-Day Leadership Conference | 06.09.18

  • Jun 9

Portico Church would like to invite you all to a Leadership Conference hosted by Redemption Hill Church DC - one of our Acts 29 church partners.

The conference will be held on Saturday June 9 at Redemption Hill Church at 400 D Street SE in Washington DC. Anyone is welcome to attend whether you are currently leading/volunteering or are interested in leadership and serving at Portico.

The One-Day Leadership Conference is an opportunity for church members to be encouraged, grow, and have specific ministry skills sharpened. It is hosted by Acts 29 churches in the DC Metro Area, and open to anyone to join. A broad range of breakouts will focus on particular areas of ministry. These breakouts will be led by members of area churches, real people serving in real churches. It’s exciting to be together and celebrate the work God is doing in and through our churches. Join us to be refreshed, encouraged, and sharpened!

Who should come to this event?
If you serve or lead in any capacity at your church, then this conference is for you!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
PARKING: Most street parking is free and has no time limit on Sundays. Signs that list a 2-hour time limit are generally restricted only Monday-Friday. You should be able to find parking within a few-block radius of the church building. There are a few sections that are explicitly marked by red signs as “Zone 6 Resident Permit Parking Only”. These are not good places to park, unless you are a DC Zone 6 Resident.

METRO: The Blue, Orange, and Silver lines run through the Eastern Market Metro Station. As you arrive at the Eastern Market Station exit via the escalators and turn 180 degrees to walk toward the CVS at the corner of 7th St & D St SE and continue down D St SE. Ebenezer UMC is only three blocks down at 4th & D St SE.

Will lunch be provided?
No, we will not be providing lunch in order to keep the cost low. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the church, or you are welcome to bring your own.
